The challenge.
A wealth management app locked into Backbase, a legacy SDK: slow delivery, XML layouts and code that was hard to test.
What we did.
Leaving Backbase, step by step
The SDK replaced one piece at a time, flow after flow.
Clean Architecture and MVI
Clearly separated layers and predictable screen state, so it can be tested.
A three-layer UI architecture
The whole interface rebuilt in Jetpack Compose, on a three-layer UI architecture.
The key flows
Onboarding, portfolio, payments and transactions.
In the app.

Follow the portfolio
Start a payment
Review and submit
The outcome.
Fewer crashes, faster feature delivery and a codebase the bank’s team can own for the long term.
